Currently obsessed with this song. That main riff is full of that special 80s new wave goodness; it sounds eerily similar to “Melt With You,” the Modern English song from the 80s. In fact, one of the best 80s hits in my opinion. Something about this Strokes record in general is just perfect. The band hadn’t sounded this good since “Room On Fire.” It’s a magical listen, and so much of that magic is in this song, The outro of the song comes out of nowhere, almost, and really blows your socks off. If this record is the last we ever see from the band, it’s a hell of a record to end a career on.
